These boots were originally worn with slim-fitting jodhpurs by the colonial British in India for playing polo. The boots were short, narrow and close fitting – just right for riding agile ponies in a fast-moving game of polo. Today, these ladies’ boots are still a perfect fit, but the higher leg offers greater protection in unpleasant weather and is more elegant with wide and narrow trousers, jeans and long skirts - and with cuffs, these boots can even be worn with a short skirt.

Unfastening the leather strap around the leg gives ample room to slip your foot in easily. This adjustable all-round strap ensures a snug fit round the ankles and a beautiful, slim silhouette. As both the front of the boot and the heel section are cut from a single piece of leather, the boots look like luxurious slippers when worn under trousers and long skirts. The elegantly-shaped foot and 11¼4" (3cm) block heel make your feet look slim and allow you to walk for miles in comfort and safety.
